FAMU Rules the Czech Lion Awards

Michal Blaško received the Magnesia Award for the Best Student Film for his Atlantida, 2003. The film was co-produced by FAMU and VŠMU. The crew from the Prague school included cinematographer Adam Mach, editor Petr Hasalík, producer Veronika Jelšíková and tutor Professor Pavel Marek.

Ice Mother by Bohdan Sláma from the Department of Direction won 6 awards with ease, scoring points for the Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress in Leading Role, Best Actor in Leading Role and Best Screenplay. Lajka by Aurel Klimt (Department of Animation), Little Crusader by Václav Kadrnka (Department of Direction) and Filthy by Tereza Nvotová won one award each. Lajka scored points in the Best Film Set category, Little Crusader won the Best Music, and Filthy won the Best Editing. The Best Cinematography Award went to Vladimír Smutný for his contribution to Barefoot.
