We would like to inform you that a new protective measure adopted by the Ministry of Health took effect on 21 September 2020.
The measure lays down the requirements for the entry to the Czech territory and quarantine measures. A list of low-risk countries is available below as an attachment.
With effect from Monday, 21 September 2020, persons arriving from countries not included in the list of low-risk countries have a new duty to complete an electronic arrival form even before arriving in the Czech Republic. By completing and submitting the form, they will automatically inform the relevant sanitary authority about their arrival. The form is available at http://www.prijezdovyformular.cz/. The persons will be required to submit a proof of having completed the form during border control or to police; it will be printable and downloadable to mobile devices. Within five (5) days from arrival from a risk country, the person should test for COVID and deliver the test result promptly to the relevant local sanitary authority. If a test result is not submitted within seven (7) days from arrival, the person will be quarantined.
For trips between EU countries, it is newly possible to submit on arrival the result of a PCR test made in another EU member state that is not older than 72 hours. This option is available to EU citizens, including Czech citizens and third country citizens with a residency permit for the EU. The measure has also extended the range of persons who can arrive in the Czech Republic to meet their partners. Partners of EU citizens with temporary permit to stay for over 90 days or with permanent residence in the Czech Republic may newly arrive having proven a long-term relationship.
