The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague is announcing a Special scholarship programme in support of Ukrainian students’ studies and stays

Preamble

Should the attack on Ukraine and the escalation of the conflict continue, the Academy of Performing Arts is prepared to support Ukrainian students seeking refuge from Russian aggression in the Czech Republic. In the past, AMU offered a refuge to Belarusian students who faced persecution for their civic stances and encouraged the creation of both nation- and school-wide tools for supporting them, and it is currently seeking avenues for action to the best of its abilities in the current situation.

AMU’s special scholarship programme is announced in response to the current developments in Ukraine. The support is intended for art students who are seeking refuge in the Czech Republic from war and its consequences and who want to continue studying in their fields.

The programme is announced in accordance with budgetary rules and on the basis of the decision of the Rector’s Collegium, which is based on the position of the Czech Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Students from Ukraine who are admitted to a Faculty can be supported under the programme based on applications submitted to the individual Faculties further to an assessment of their academic qualities and talent for the respective type of programme, course or stay.

Subject matter of the programme

• The subject matter of the programme is aid for Ukrainian students’ applications for support under the scholarship programme.
• The programme is announced for the period from 1 March 2022 to 31 December 2022.
• The total amount allocated by AMU to the special scholarship programme is CZK 500,000.

Conditions for the scholarship

• The scholarship may be provided, subject to the decision of the Dean of each Faculty, to a student from Ukraine based on a written application and an assessment of their talent and academic qualities. Under such conditions, the students will be admitted to study free of charge.
• At the same time, students may receive a scholarship of up to CZK 10,000/month to cover the costs of living in the Czech Republic, to be paid at the beginning of each month. AMU will offer the students an opportunity to stay in its accommodation facilities subject to the available capacity and purchase meals at a discount.
• There is no legal title to being included in the programme and/or receiving a scholarship.

Академія виконавських мистецтв у Празі виписує Екстраординарну ступендійну програму підтримки навчання і перебування для студентів з України

Преамбула

Керівництво Академії виконавських мистецтв у Празі (АМУ) готово у разі продовження атаки на Україну підтримати українських студентів, які шукають у Чехії прихисток від російської агресії. Так, як раніше АМУ запропонувало прихисток білоруським студентам, яким загрожувало пронаслідування за їхню громадянську позицію, і підтримала створення вседержавних та шкільних фінансових інструментів на їхню підтримку, так і зараз шукає шляхи, як в рамках своїх можливостей діяти в такому випадку.

Екстраординарна стипендійна програма АМУ виписується в реакції на актуальну ситуацію в Україні. Підтримка розрахована на студентiв мистецьких спеціалізацій, які шукають у Празі прихисток від війни та її наслідкiв, і які хочуть продовжити навчання за своєю спеціалізацією.

Програма виписується у згоді з бюджетними правилами і на підставі рішення колегії ректорки, яке витікає з позиції уряду ЧР та Міністерства освіти, молоді та фізкультури ЧР. З програми, на підставі прохань до окремо взятих факультетів і після оцінки хисту і передумов навчання на конкретному напрямку навчання, можна підтримати студентів з України, яких буде прийнято на один із факультетів.

Суб´єкт програми

• Предметом програми є підтримка зі стипендійної програми заявок про допомогу українських студентів.
• Програма виписується на період від 1. 3. 2022 до 31. 12. 2022.
• Загальна сума АМУ виділена на екстраординарну стипендійну програму – 500 тисяч чеських крон.

Умови надання стипендії

• Стипендію може бути надано на підставі рішення декана даного факультету студенту з України, на підставі його запиту і на підставі оцінки його таланту і передумов до навчання. Навчання буде в такому випадку надано студенту безкоштовно.
• Разом з тим, студентові може бути надана стипендія у розмірі максимально 10 тисяч чеських крон за місяць, для витрат на проживання у Чехії, завжди початком даного місяця. АМУ надасть студенту можливість проживання у своїх гуртожитках, з оглядом на актуальну доступність місць, а також пільгову страву.
• На прийняття до цієї програми та надання стипендії немає правової претензії.
