ENCATC, the European network on cultural management and policy, is accepting articles for two issues of its scientific publication, the European Journal of Cultural Management and Policy, (ISSN 2663-5771) Volume 9 to be published in December 2019. The submission article deadline is 1 April 2019.
Volume 9, issue 1 is a thematic issue following the topic of 2018 ENCATC Annual Congress: “Beyond EYCH2018. What is the cultural horizon? Opening up perspectives to face ongoing transformations”. Submissions are encouraged to address the critical and inclusive views of cultural heritage and its relationship with other cultural and creative sectors.
Volume 9, issue 2, is a general issue on new advancements in the cultural and creative domains.
All received articles will go through a double-blind peer review process. After this, authors will be informed whether the article has been accepted or not.
In publication since 2011, Journal encourages multidisciplinary perspectives and aims at connecting theory and practice in the realm of the cultural sector.

Applications for the ENCATC Research Award on Cultural Policy and Cultural Management are being accepted until 1 May 2019.
The award is granted to a recently published doctoral thesis with an innovative and internationally oriented research design that can inform policy making and benefit practitioners in the broad field of culture.
Granted each year, the Award consists of the translation of the winning PhD thesis into English and its publication in the ENCATC Book Series on Cultural Management and Cultural Policy Education, by Peter Lang, an international publishing group.
The 2019 winner will be announced at the 2019 ENCATC Research Award Ceremony on 3 October 2019 in Dijon, France. Now in its 6th year, the ENCATC Research Award Ceremony will be held during the 2019 ENCATC Annual Congress on Cultural Management and Policy “Diversity and sustainability at work. Policies and practices from culture and education” (2-5 October 2019).

On 4 October 2019 in Dijon, France, academics, researchers and practitioners from Europe and beyond will present their latest work during the annual Education and Research Session organised during the 2019 ENCATC Congress on Cultural Management and Policy "Diversity and sustainability at work. Policies and practices from culture and education” (2-5 October).
This gathering of the international education and research community will provide a unique interdisciplinary environment to get the latest world-class education practices and research being conducted on cultural management and policy.
The open call welcomes submissions for abstracts, posters and teaching demonstrations until 25 May 2019. Proposals may be from any relevant discipline will be considered, provided that they make an original academic and professional contribution to the study and practice of cultural management and cultural policy. Themes related to the main topic of the 2019 Congress are encouraged to critically address diversity and sustainability in an operating context, exploring the practical meanings of diversity in the cultural and creative sector, investigate how its different connotations are implemented in practice, and how they are contributing to the sustainability discourse in the field.
